Cut Bank is home to a variety of parks, trails, and recreational opportunities both indoors and out. Spend time exploring Montana’s open spaces, staying active, or connecting with the community through year-round activities.

Parks
​Cut Bank has many parks available to the public, offering both residents and visitors a variety of outdoor spaces to relax, play, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to unwind or a spot for family activities, Cut Bank's public parks help to make the town a welcoming and enjoyable place to spend time outdoors.

City Park

Located right on Main Street (US Hwy 2) on the east end of Cut Bank, City Park is beautifully maintained and offers both sunshine and shade.​

  • Adjacent to the Parkview Senior Center, Joe Meagher Memorial Civic Center and Cut Bank High School football field

  • Permanent covered outdoor stage - great for larger gatherings and community entertainment

  • MDOT state restroom facility

  • Playground area, a roofed picnic area, and picnic tables throughout the park

  • Well-lit for evening enjoyment

Dog Park

Just one minute north of Cut Bank, over the railroad tracks, Bark Park offers over an acre of fenced space for dogs to run and play.​

  • Separate area for smaller breeds with a dedicated entrance

  • Graveled walking path with benches

  • Two pavilions for shade and rest, with newly planted trees (2023) providing additional shade

  • Built with support from AARP Livable Communities grant and community donations

Bud Park

Located on the north side of the railroad tracks, Bud Park stretches from Central Avenue west to the 6th Ave Northwest crossing.​

  • Open spaces for casual recreation and relaxing

Central Park

Located on the east corner of Central Ave and Main Street, Central Park is a small but charming space.​

  • Cement and brick surfaces

  • Benches and garbage receptacles for convenience

Southwest Park / Gary Smith Memorial Park

Located at Second Ave Southwest and Third St Southwest, this large park offers plenty of space for outdoor fun.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  • Playground area

  • Barbecue area and picnic tables for gatherings

  • Wind/rain shelter for all-weather use

  • Benches and well-maintained green lawn

  • Swimming pool for cooling off in the summer

  • Large shade trees throughout the park​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Cut Bank River Park

Located just west of Cut Bank on the south side of Hwy 2 (before the bridge), Cut Bank Creek Park is a scenic day-use area along the Cut Bank Coulee.​

  • Picnic on the grassy shore

  • Swimming or wading in the cool creek waters

  • Fishing opportunities - cast your line and try your luck!

  • Ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature

Trails
Cut Bank offers three marked trails, each with its own unique experience. Whether you're looking for a casual jogging path, a scenic route along the Coulee, or a paved, mostly flat trail for an easy walk or ride, there’s an option for every pace and preference.

The Anna Jeffries Trail is a more of a conventional quarter mile jogging trail. It loops out behind Anna Jefferies Elementary School in the Northwest side of Cut Bank and takes you out to Skyline Rd (MT-213).

Cut Bank Coulee Trail

Length: 2.3mi

Trailhead 1/2: 436 Mountain View Blvd, Cut Bank, MT 59427

Trailhead 2/2: 2000 7th Ave S, Cut Bank, MT 59427
The Coulee Trail stretches along the cliff overlooking Cut Bank Creek. There are two trailheads for the Coulee Trail; the first if located at the corner of 7th Ave South and Dean Drive, and the other is located at the crest of Mountain View Blvd. Bring your hiking boots! The Coulee Trail is a dirt/stone trail that weaves its way up and down several hills, through some great views of the Cut Bank Creek, straight to the Cut Bank Hoodoos (free standing stone pillars) overlooking the creek. 

Cut Bank North Trail

Length: 1mi

Trailhead: 15 Skyland Rd, Cut Bank, MT 59427
The North Trail (compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act) was completed in 2025 and is a 1-mile paved walking and biking trail that begins on Skyline Road, near the end of the Anna Jefferies Trail, and heads straight out Nyhagen Road to the Sports Complex, turns right, and ends at the Glacier Museum on the Old Kevin Highway.

Recreation
Cut Bank offers activities for all ages, including horseback riding, programs at the Civic Center, and the community pool. Residents can enjoy outdoor recreation, sports, and local events that bring the community together.

Joe Meagher Memorial Civic Center

Welcome to the Joe Meagher Memorial Civic Center, Cut Bank’s only full-service recreation center.  We are here to help you meet your weight loss and fitness goals.  We’re a great place to spend time with your family, or have some time to yourself.  Stop in and our friendly staff will be happy to give you a tour.

Sunshine Stables

Sunshine Stables offers trail rides and riding lessons to students of all ages. They also offer long-term and overnight horse boarding. The facility is run by both Kalen and Jake, who strive to create a facility that can be used by the people of our community – both horse owners and enthusiasts alike – to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits that horses can provide.

Tee to Green Indoor Golf Simulator

Tee to Green is a premier golf simulator located in downtown Cut Bank and is open from mid-October until May 1st. When Cut Bank Golf and Country Club opens, we encourage golfers to get outside and support our local golf club. Swimming Pool

You must check out our popular outdoor Cut Bank Swimming Pool.  It's a great hangout for the whole family during our beautiful summer months.  We offer swim lessons, water aerobics, and have a fun splash park for the younger kids.​
